Meet Katie Norberg…
Owner of Pep Talk and Speech-Language Pathologist with over 16 years of pediatric experience.
I have two kids, ages 7 & 8, two dogs and two cats, and a pretty cool husband. I moved to Cabarrus County in 2008 from NY and haven’t looked back. I worked for the local school system for over 13 years. Now, I’m continuing my adventure… my own speech therapy practice.
I try to set myself apart from other practices through individualized care and parent education. You will receive updates and homework from me constantly. I talk too much, it’s a job hazard, but usually, it is about your kid. I have kids and you do too, so flexibility in our schedules is valued.
I know kids get sick or we forget about the dentist appointment we scheduled 6 months ago before we scheduled speech, and sometimes, we only put one shoe on while getting out the door. Yes, that happened, and yes, I love that mom for it. It was easily the best laugh I had that day.

… but this is probably a more accurate description of the faces you will see from me. I work in pediatrics. Kids are where ::it is at:: Pediatric speech therapy is fun, active, and silly. I will integrate evidence based practices and skilled interventions through books, games, music, and movement. Sometimes we sit, sometimes we stand, and sometimes we sit upside down and backwards on chairs to establish proper tongue placement for our speech sounds.
